This award-winning Cotswolds retreat has been carefully designed to offer a beautiful hideaway in which to spend some truly quality time with friends, family or colleagues. Exquisite Cotswold stone buildings, award-winning gardens and beautiful interiors combine to create a very special home away from home.
The property boasts exposed beams, Cotswold stone fireplaces, original timbered doors and beautiful leaded light windows. These stunning authentic features are balanced with modern facilities and entertainment such as hot tub, SKY television, WiFi and billiard table. The modern kitchen is equipped for self-catering, but the property can also provide housekeeping and catering options at additional cost.
In terms of space and accommodation, there are five bedrooms, but Wold House can be combined with Wold Barn (1231) and a further two small cottage bolt holes to add seven more bedrooms to the total, which would allow up to 24 guests to sleep on site. This flexibility to accommodate more guests is also reflected in the dining capacity; the dining room in Wold House seats up to 12 but, guests have the option to hire chairs to accommodate up to a total of 30.
When this wonderful estate is taken on an exclusive use basis, it provides the perfect venue for a small boutique wedding; two of the family rooms have a civil licence for up to 24 people and there is also a church just a short distance away from the property.
The entire estate shares gardens of approximately 14.5 acres with an all-weather astro-turf tennis court, two hot tubs, large walled gardens with a water feature overlooking the River Windrush, a vegetable garden, gently rolling fields and the estate’s own lake. Guests who book the whole estate can ensure complete privacy; if the manor house is booked individually, guests can enjoy separate gardens, a separate parking area and terrace with outdoor furniture and BBQ for 10 guests, but will share some aspects of the wider estate.
Located in a quintessential Cotswolds village with its own little shop, it’s a beautiful place to stay with many options for outdoor activities as well as boutique shopping in Moreton in Marsh or Stow-on the-Wold. You are also close to Cheltenham, famous for its international shopping, historic buildings and, of course, the races.
Whether you are looking for a little rest and relaxation, an escape from the pressures of city living or a perfect intimate wedding venue, this wonderful manor should be at the top of your list.
