Built in 1644, this magnificent manor in Herefordshire defines country house living, set on a traditional estate that simply exudes the peace and tranquillity of a bygone age. Beautifully renovated to high modern standards without compromising its traditional grandeur or historical legacy, Orchard Court successfully conveys a warm and welcoming aura that allows guests to feel completely at home, making it the perfect party house for friends, families and corporates.
The house is surrounded by 1,000 acres of Duchy of Cornwall land with far-reaching views of the Black Mountains; guests can walk for hours without ever coming across a road. A short walk through the garden takes you to the working smallholding, the charming ancient church and the ‘Wain House’ - a lovely open-fronted barn that is a fantastic event space.
Celebrate in style
The beautiful entrance to the house, with its large double doors, leads straight into the great hall where guests are greeted with a cosy reception area, an open fire and wooden floors covered in beautiful oriental rugs. The kitchen, equipped with an Aga, epitomises real family space and is supported by a separate catering kitchen for guests who plan on holding large parties and celebrations.
Further rooms to enjoy include the study and the Chinoiserie room, both with open fires, and the games room with a billiard table.
